Such as the scene in his confrontation with his P.E. teacher and Cunningham, Donnie proclaims how the world isn't as simple as the answers they attempt to provide because unlike your analysis, life is complex and there are numerous other factors that need to be taken into consideration. Donnie, receiving the knowledge of the worlds' imminent collapse commits these crimes in order to fight back towards the corrupt establishments of society in which he previously could not without fear of social persecution (He lost his drivers' license privileges and in in therapy due to his previous mishaps). His crimes' were NOT a byproduct of fear, and the fact that you found it necessary to lump your analysis into the two categories shows that you are a prime example of an individual that follows "prescribed nonsense" blindly. This is an unacceptable analysis of such a movie concerning fate, god, society's corruption, humanity's Promethean qualities, and the Scientology that is apparent in every scene, back to back. Every scene in this movie has meaning, and your inability to find it is disturbing.

The whole Fear and Love concept goes along with the whole idea of false prophets such as Jim Cunningham, and religion dividing life into simple answers such as Fear or Love, God or Satan (Donnie being agnostic not being a coincidence) in which the individual cannot find truth. Stop grasping on to all of these little things that make up our day. The little things have as much power over our lives as the big things.Trying to make life into an equation is a surefire recipe for disaster. Life is complex, and we often try to create simple solutions to this complicated problem. As soon as we acknowledge the complexity of life, we gain back some of our freedom.

To sum it up, Donna, I would say that it’s all about letting go. If I could make one change though I don't think that Walt was a mean person or had a small comfort zone. I think he just saw society as it was, full of greedy self-absorbed people with no respect, and he didn't want to associate with them (his family especially). This is why he takes interest in Thao, because he is unlike the rest of society (like you wrote).

Well written ANAYLSIS (An anaylsis is about the possible themes of a story…), and I couldn’t agree more with what was written.
If I could make one change though I don’t think that Walt was a mean person or had a small comfort zone. Bobby felt like he was helping someone when it came to craig and after feeling worthy he couldn't bare the thought of going back to not being understood.... The film let's you choose the ending but everyone that watches it probably gets the feeling he might commit while watching the film

I watched the film with my best mate and half way during the film we both said that we thought he was going to kill himself, by the end of the film we both knew it was going to happen, craig taught bobby how he’s life could have been and bobby taught craig what his life would be like if he carried on, they both taught eachother a valuable lesson on life which made them bond instantly!
