If Pride and Glory taught me anything, it would be karma, and how everything that goes around comes back around, every time. It also showed why some people will take advantage of other people/authorities who trust them, and use it to do very bad things. Combining both life lessons, Pride and Glory provides an example of why you cannot take advantage of other peoples trust, because you will get your fair share in the end. Ray is a very honest man, and a hard worker. Jimmy has a more laid back attitude, and a tendency to get caught up in doing the wrong things....

Pay it Forward is a movie about society, and what each of us can do to improve it. Each character represents many different life lessons, and here are a few of them. Trevor represents giving, Eugene Simonet represents fear, Arlene represents desperation, Chris Chandler (Reporter) represents curiosity, and the stranger named Mr. Thorsen represents kindness. Trevor McKinney had a very absorbent mind. He was ready to listen to anyone. Fortunately, the right person came along to guide him. Mr. Simonet gave him an assignment to change the world. Trevor created...

We all have a role model to help guide us in the right direction. Whether it is an athlete, family member, or an iconic figure, we admire people who have achieved what we are after. This is not the case in “Role Models”, as Augie and Ronnie are kids who are forced to have Role Models who they don’t admire. It is with time and experience that Wheeler and Danny, the adult role models, establish themselves as positive and reliable mentors. Wheeler and Danny must perform 150 hours of community service in order to avoid a jail sentence. They...

Benjamin Button is a long movie, but each second is of equal importance. There are many themes; some dark, and some light. The movie is very sad, but really contains great material. The importance of loyalty towards your friends, loving each-other no matter the circumstances, and appreciating what you have are some base themes in Benjamin Button. Benjamin is friends with everyone in his nursing home. He understands their situation, and feels compassion towards them. When meeting the captain of a ship, his friend tells him that the captain never pays. Benjamin...

Igor is an excellent movie, with much to be learned from its content. It has a very dark atmosphere throughout the whole movie, which my not be very pleasing for some. If you can get over the presentation of the film, it is a great way to spend a mere 1 hour and 20 minutes. Some of the life lessons include: the conflict between the good and evil side of ourselves, the incentives for committing an evil act, and the impact of a simple gift. Good or evil? It seems like such an easy decision to make. However, when further analyzed, it is actually much easier...

It is not enough to simply ‘Be’, which is having an existence without the need of company. Joshua is an extremely exaggerated example of our need to be loved. Joshua felt that he did not receive adequate love from either of his parents, and he took out his anger in an extremely violent fashion. This could have been avoided if his parents recognized Joshua’s needs. He consistently asked questions, constantly wondering how much his parents loved him. It is extremely rare for a 9 year-old to be as intelligent as Joshua, but the movie teaches...

As you would expect, a battle ensues, and both James and Melanie only want their opinion to come true. The House Bunny is a funny, perhaps generic film. When watching, you may feel like you have seen very similar movies with the same message. The House Bunny mainly presents the ideas of changing your physical looks to obtain happiness, and its negative effects. It also discusses the importance of being yourself. In this modern world, many people rely on looking good to be happy. If people are not given stunning physical features, they may feel punished by God. Physical looks are overrated. Some of the most happy people in the world will not strike you...

Although The Condemned is a very dark and violent movie, which is definitely not for everyone, there are essential life lessons which are presented in the film. It presents the problem of degrading human values for money, people giving power to other people, unlimited greed, and how a collective effort can stop violent acts. The whole concept of the movie would not work without people giving power to other people. There would be no reality show if millions had not logged in to watch it. This gave the show creator even more reasons to be greedy, and continued...

In 10 Items or Less, Morgan Freeman describes himself as a connector. A person who is connected to him/herself, as well as others; and has the power to help others connect with themselves through social relations. In the movie, Morgan Freeman meets Scarlet. She is a young grocery store employee, but Freeman sees that she has great potential, and is really aspiring to be much more. Freeman helps Scarlet see inside herself, and she moves closer to where she truly wants to be in life. This is all achieved through the power of connection, and the impact of one...
