I have never heard of Jiddu Krishnamurti, but I just looked him up. He looks like a pretty amazing person, showing others how to live consciously. I believe he purposely tried to make the world a better place, while Forrest Gump was a little more naive, not 100% in tune to what he was doing for the world.

Yes it did. A lot of things with the war, and a general sense of how people acted/their personalities in that certain time frame.

What I liked about this movie is that it summarized the history of the world in the sixties and seventies.

I don't really remember the soundtrack from the movie. Probably because I was so focused on the amazing story. Thanks for telling me about the soundtrack, I will try to listen to it. Thanks for the comment!

I loved the soundtrack to this movie. All oldies, MY kinda music, hehe. Good, old-fashioned funky stuff, the kinda stuff that makes you wanna get up and dance! I need to watch Forrest Gump again... Make sure I still do, indeed, love it. ;-D

Forrest Gump:

I'm glad that you like the movie. I appreciate all comments, including criticism. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on the article ;).

Josh:

Army boots from Lt. Dan?! That is an amazing thing to have in your Memorabilia collection! E-Mail me if you ever decide to put it on sale, lol. (I doubt it)

Irakli:

I appreciate your very insightful post. The movie truly touched my heart as well, definitely one of my favorites. I decided to write on a few of the life lessons that I obtained from the film. Only a small amount about this movie is written in this little article. You are absolutely right about the ability for all to become a good person. So many traits of a great person like Forrest Gump, and so achievable. Why are we built to be such a negative-thinking society? There should be programs put in place for young kids in schools. Learning to dispel negative thinking, and promote positive thinking. I should send the suggestion to Obama....

Great article, thanks!
Forrest is one of my heroes, and the movie is my favorite one. No other movie could ever touch my heart like this one. I can write so much about this person and the movie, but I guess it's all written in this small article. To me it's like a religion, way of life, teaching people the eseential virtues that everyone should be guided by. Another message that was placed in this movie, was that anyone can be a good person. No matter who you are, where you live, what is your social status or intelligence quotient - we have the power within ourselves to become someone like Forrest with all his virtues. So why don't we do it? Let's make ourselves better, kinder, more honest, compassionate. No need to focus on bad things happening all the time, we can overcome those, it's not so difficult. And once we do it, let's look around, sure there are people who will need our help and assistance. Let's help them too find what everyone's looking for - happiness! That's one important message among many others in this movie...
